Across the pond

After nearly 8 years of living in France, I’m going home. The Brit and I have decided to move back to Seattle…

Wow, big decision! I'm a Seattleite who has lived in London for 2 years and now Paris for 1 year. We haven't even been back to visit in those 3 years with no plans to or return. I can't wait to hear how things go with your re-entry, culture shock, etc. Good luck!

During the first few years I didn't have plans to return either, but now is a different story. It's going to be odd being back, but I'm ready to leave Europe.

Wow, there must be something in the water! It feels like everyone is up and moving back home as of late. I'll miss your blog, but good luck with everything!!

KSam - good luck to you too! I don't know yet if I'll continue the blog, perhaps I will post about the reverse culture shock.

Just found your blog via your interview on Blog Expat and was intrigued because I'm a fellow Seattleite/expat myself (though I'm a bit further south than you here in Spain.) Best of luck with the move back home, it's a special place that I miss very much!
